TC students, Clifford and Alexis Agee, are not your typical college students. This dynamic duo does it all: college, community and parenting.
Clifford, a Behavioral Science major and Alexis, a General Studies major, have been married for seven years. They have a total of seven children between them; ages 3 years to 25 years old. Two of their seven children still live at home; a seven year old girl and a three year old boy.

The couple is actively involved in three clubs on campus; Black Student Association, Student Government Association, and Phi Beta Lambda. Clifford is President of the BSA and Vice President of the SGA. Alexis is Secretary for both SGA and BSA.

In his spare time, Clifford, a disabled veteran and devoted father, coaches little league football for Gridiron. “I want to help and teach kids basic skills that will be useful for the rest of their lives,” says Clifford.

Alexis, a dedicated mother and student, suffers from Grave’s disease. Grave’s disease is an immune system disorder of the thyroid. She gives her all at school and works outside the home to support her family. “It gets stressful sometimes. I just find time to relax and I’m ok. Before I get too sick to do anything, I want to provide a better life for my kids,” says Alexis.

Both Clifford and Alexis work within their campus club affiliations to support our community. They have participated in events such as the Black History Parade and the Halloween Bash, where local elementary students came to TC’s campus to enjoy games, trick or treating and a haunted house.

The Agees both graduate in fall 2016, but their hard work and dedication to school, community, and family will inspire TC students for years to come.

“I want to show my kids that you are never too old to go back to school and have a better life,” says Clifford.
