Part-time Bookstore Student Worker

The Bookstore Student Worker’s primary function is to provide engaged, accurate, and caring customer service to our students, staff, and all others.  The duties include cashiering, stocking, and merchandising.

Qualifications:

Education/Certification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

Special Knowledge/Skills:

  • Positive retail customer service attitude and skills
  • Presentation and Analysis skills
  • Basic Safety
  • Excellent verbal/written communication skills
  • Cash Register/Computer skills
  • Organizational skills
  • 10-key ability
  • Ability to Multi-task and Prioritize

Experience:

  • Previous retail experience helpful, but not necessary.

Major Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Ensures inventory integrity through adhering to receiving processes and labeling accuracy.
  • Pursues excellence to protect against shrinkage and to remain audit compliant.
  • Responsible for accurate cash handling.
  • Helps maintain a safe, clean, and fully stocked store presentation
  • Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

 Commensurate within the Texarkana College pay scale for position.
