Gregg Orr Auto gifts Kia cars to Texarkana College

Gregg Orr Auto donated two 2014 Kia Soul Exclaim vehicles to the Texarkana College Foundation at a ceremony on Wednesday, Dec. 17 at 10:30 a.m. The cars, worth roughly $50,000, will serve as a teaching tool in Texarkana College’s Automotive Technology program.

Richard Conant, Service manager, coordinated the vehicle donation in working closely with Chris Besser from Kia corporate. Conant and Besser along with Larry Coker, President of Operations, Thomas Orr, Vice President of Operations, David Ramsey, Kia General Manager, and Richard Conant, Service Manager, will attend the ceremony. Kia corporate representatives Lyle Stursma, Cor Valstar and Chris Besser will also attend the event.

The new Kia Souls are filled with top-of-the-line technology that will enable Texarkana College students in the automotive program to graduate with the knowledge and skills they need to contribute and compete in the local job market.
