Ready to transfer to Texarkana College? This checklist will help guide you through the process.

Step 1: Apply
Texarkana College, like most colleges in Texas, utilizes the ApplyTexas higher education application. It is a great way for you to apply once to many schools. If you need help while applying, refer to our How-to apply guide.
Go to applytexas.org to complete your application.
Step 2: Submit Transcripts
When applying to TC we will need a copy of the final transcripts of your High School or GED along with official college transcripts if you’ve earned credit at any other institution of higher learning. You may hand-deliver them to the admissions office, but they must be in a sealed official envelope from the institution.

Step 3: Immunization Records
Students under the age of 22 will not be allowed to register without proof of current bacterial meningitis vaccination. This may be mailed (to the address listed in Step 2) or hand-delivered to the Admissions Office.

Step 4: Apply for Financial Aid & Scholarships
After Steps 1-3 have been completed you should receive an acceptance letter from Texarkana College. Once you have received your letter you are capable of applying for financial aid.
To apply for Federal Financial aid use the FAFSA online application. The code for TC is 003628.
You are also encouraged to apply for TC Scholarships.

Step 5: Meet with an Advisor
Meet with an advisor to discuss the following:
- Testing requirements: TSI and/or TABE.
- How to submit test scores once testing is complete
- Degree plan and major
- Registering for classes
- Obtaining your TC email account
- Students with documented disabilities should visit with Disability Services
- Sign up for Orientation: College 101 ($25 fee automatically added to your student bill)
- Requesting a student ID
If you have not had a chance to check out Career Coach you might do so before you meet with Advising. Career Coach is a tool that will let you explore careers in our local job market.
Step 6: Pay for classes
Tuition and fees are automatically deducted from your financial aid awards. You are responsible for paying any remaining balance. Students must pay by the posted payment deadlines or their classes will be dropped for non-payment.

Step 7: Get a Parking Permit
You’ll need a parking permit to park on campus. See the Student Accounts Office once you complete your application. The first parking sticker is free and any additional stickers are $2 each with a form completed for each additional sticker.

Step 8: Get a Student ID
New students will need to request a badge online in myTC. Follow this link and then log in to go directly to the request page.
Step 9: Buy Books
Visit the bookstore in the Truman Arnold Student Center to purchase books, tool kits, school supplies and more. You can also visit it online.
