Your Start. Our Promise
Start with a Promise. Finish with a future. The Texarkana College Promise is a last-dollar scholarship that covers any remaining tuition after financial aid for eligible graduating seniors in our service area.
What is the Texarkana College Promise?
Made possible by the contributions of private donors, the Texarkana College Promise is a last-dollar scholarship that ensures qualifying local high school students can access college without the burden of tuition. Beginning Fall 2026, eligible graduates can complete up to 60 credit hours or earn an associate degree tuition-free after grants and scholarships are applied. The program also supports high school students earlier in their journey by covering eligible dual credit fees not funded through existing state programs.
As part of a broader regional mission, the Texarkana College Promise will serve as a foundational pathway within the larger Texarkana Promise initiative. Texas A&M University–Texarkana is partnering in this effort, creating future opportunities for Promise students to continue their education and work toward a bachelor’s degree after completing their studies at Texarkana College.
Who the Promise Supports
Dual Credit Students
Beginning Fall 2026, the Promise Program will cover eligible dual credit course fees not already funded through the FAST program.
