Apply Register Transfer Early Admission Dual Credit Transient

Want to register for classes as an Early Admission student? This checklist will help guide you through the process.

Step 1: Advising

Visit with your high school counselor to determine what course(s) to take and pick up your Early Admission Form and sealed transcript/test scores.

Step 2: Application

Apply online at applytexas.org.
Make sure you complete the profile and the application. Students should choose 2-year college and Texarkana College. Additionally, choose dual credit along with your high school for your major.

Step 3: Immunization Records

If you will be taking classes on the Texarkana College campus you must have a current meningitis vaccination or file an exemption. Vaccinations are good for 5 years.

Step 2: Receive Login Credentials for myTC

Your username and password/access code will be emailed to you within 24 hours of completing your ApplyTexas application.  myTC is the student portal used to access information related to enrollment, financial aid, student accounts, degree plans and grades.

Step 3: Submit Transcripts

When applying to TC we will need a copy of the final transcripts of your High School or GED along with official college transcripts if you’ve earned credit at any other institution of higher learning.  You may hand-deliver them to the admissions office, but they must be in a sealed official envelope from the institution.

Step 4: Texas Success Initiative Requirements

Early Admission students must be assessed in all areas of TSI. Students can be exempt through ACT with a 23 composite and 19 on Math and English or through SAT with 480 on Reading and Writing and/or 530 Math. Students can also take the TSI assessment at TC’s Testing Center. Please see TSI Testing Center Info for Parents.

Step 5: Register for Classes

Make sure you bring the following items:

• A completed Early Admission Form.
• Sealed Transcript.
• Test scores (ACT or SAT will be on your ISD transcript).
• Proof of Meningitis (if taking a class on Texarkana College campus).

Step 6: Get a Parking Permit

You’ll need a parking permit to park on campus.  See the Student Accounts Office once you complete your application.  The first parking sticker is free and any additional stickers are $2 each with a form completed for each additional sticker.

Step 7: Pay for classes

Tuition and fees are automatically deducted from your financial aid awards.  You are responsible for paying any remaining balance.  Students must pay by the posted payment deadlines or their classes will be dropped for non-payment.

Credit card, cashier’s check, or money order accepted.

Step 8: Get a Student ID

New students will need to request a badge online in myTC. Follow this link and then log in to go directly to the request page.

Step 9: Buy Books

Visit the bookstore in the Truman Arnold Student Center to purchase books, tool kits, school supplies and more. You can also visit it online.
