Come and learn from Texarkana College Culinary Arts Instructor Chef Sheila Lynn. We will learn how to keep food safe and how to use kitchen equipment safely. You will practice measuring, pouring, mixing, and baking. Learn how to cut, dice and use proper knife cuts. We will be partnering this year with the Culinary Arts Students at TC, so each child will have their very own Culinary “mentor” giving them one-on-one assistance. Students will get to make their very own Pasta from scratch, Fresh Marinara, and Garlic Bread on Italian Day. Then on Mexican Fiesta Day, they will make Fresh Salsa with Chips and Chicken Fajitas. In Good old American Ballpark Day, we will have the Best Ever Grilled Cheese Hot Dog. And what could be better than Brunch on a Saturday morning? Captain Crunch French Toast and Caramelized Bacon. This is just some of the fun the kiddos will experience on this cooking journey. It will be so much fun, educational and you get to EAT what you make! Come, share the experience, and maybe even discover who the next great chef will be.
