Texarkana College Board of Trustees met on Monday to fine tune and select strategic goals to guide the direction of the college over the next 24 months.
Mayo Manufacturing Corp. and JCM Industries have partnered with Texarkana College to provide customized training to new and incumbent workers using two Skills Development Fund grants totaling $237,697 from the Texas Workforce Commission (TWC).
The Texarkana College Foundation hosted a check presentation to commemorate the eighth $2,500 payment toward the William T. Smith Endowed Scholarship Fund on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at 2:30 p.m.
At an award presentation on Tuesday, December 8, Susan G. Komen Texarkana leadership presented Texarkana College with the 2015 Partner of the Year award.
Mike Craven, owner of Red River Lumber said he is pleased to offer this scholarship to help recipient Cullen Smith gain his credentials and further his career.
Because of an anonymous donor’s $1 million gift to the Texarkana College Foundation, the Texarkana College Board of Trustees will now consider a recommendation to accept the gift in lieu of approving the proposed tax rate increase for 2015-2016 at their Monday, Sept. 21 meeting.
