We’ve been through it all.

Ninety years of first days, student government elections, biology dissection labs, final exams.

Ninety years of educating and training our region’s skilled workforce.

Ninety years of new beginnings and triumphant endings.

We’ve served this community since 1927, and we’re not just proud… We’re TC proud.

This fall marks our 90th year, and we hope you’ll help us celebrate 90 years of student success.

Since 1927, students and community members like you have relied on Texarkana College for affordable education and community programs. You carved a path for yourself at TC, and now you have the chance to help the next generation of Bulldogs do the same.

Last month, Texarkana College’s first group of Presidential Scholarship recipients walked across the stage at graduation after earning a degree from TC. Today, we’re preparing to award the next round of Presidential Scholarships to top students in our area.

In honor of TC’s 90th anniversary, will you help sustain the Presidential Scholarship program for the next generation by giving $90 in honor of our 90th anniversary?

Student Spotlight: Juan Moreno

“My dad took a job with Red River Army Depot when I was in the second grade, and my family moved to New Boston. I always knew I wanted to go to college—my parents didn’t attend, but they always pushed me to go. I knew my family couldn’t support me financially, so I worked hard in high school.

I’ll never forget the moment I opened the Presidential Scholarship award letter from Texarkana College. My anxiety about how to pay for college disappeared.

I’m excited about my future and so appreciative of the donors who make this scholarship possible.”

Student Spotlight: Abby Burns

“I am a first-generation college student from Redwater High School.

I knew after my first anatomy class that I wanted to be a nurse. I enrolled in the licensed vocational nursing program so I could work a real job while I pursued my registered nurse license. I will graduate in December 2017 with my first degree.

I would not be able to walk across that stage with my first degree in December 2017 without the donors who made my scholarship possible.

I am so grateful to Texarkana College and the Presidential Scholarship for giving me the start I needed.”

The Presidential Scholarship program helps hardworking students like Juan and Abby offset college expenses so they can focus on getting the education they need to achieve their career goals. These students are the future of our community, and your support means the world to them and their families.

90 Years of Proven Success

To celebrate Texarkana College’s 90 years, we’ve asked our alumni and friends to share their stories about how TC has made an impact on their lives. We’d love to hear your story, too—you can submit it here!
