WHAT'S IN IT FOR ME?
Since its beginning in 1927, the Journalism Program at Texarkana College has been a major source of professionals for mass media throughout the U.S. and especially in the Southwest. Graduates are serving as
newspaper reporters, editors and managers;
news service reporters and bureau chiefs;
newspaper and magazine photographers;
magazine writers and editors;
advertising account executives, advertising sales representatives,
advertising copywriters and media and promotion specialists;
public relations practitioners;
free-lance writers;
and teachers in high schools and colleges.
The program seeks to educate its students broadly and at the same time to develop communication skills that enable graduates to perform as competent professionals.
