Ever wanted to learn how to preserve fruits and vegetables? Whether from your own garden or from the local Farmer’s Market, we will show you the basics of canning and freezing fruits and vegetables. Learn the basic and most up to date techniques needed to preserve fruits & vegetables, so you can turn them into wonderful jams, jellies, preserves, butters, salsas, relishes, pickles, and side dishes that even Grandma would be proud of. Includes demonstrations of how to use both the pressure canner and the water bath canner. Instructor: Valerie Neal

TAMALES 101

Come learn the Tex-Mex traditional art of tamale making in a fun hands-on class! Students will help in the process of preparing the husks, masa dough, and meat mixture, then assemble and cook, putting together the filling, and cooking.
