Braxton and Lynn honored

Sophomore Leina Braxton was recently selected as an All-American by the National Fastpitch Coaches Association and the National Junior College Athletic Associ-ation, and freshman Jennifer Lynn was selected to the NFCA All-Midwest Region team.
Braxton, who belted 14 home runs this season for Texarkana College, batting .371 and driving in 35 runs, was a first-team NFCA All-American and a third-teamer on the NJCAA team. Braxton was also named the Region XIV Player of the Year and helped the Bulldogs capture the East Zone title and runner-up finish in the regional tournament.
She has made plans to continue her academic and softball careers at Angelo State University next year.
Lynn led the Bulldogs in batting average, hitting .447 with seven triples, 12 doubles, 33 RBI and had 71 hits.
