Research proves that quality adult-child communication and interaction are necessary for optimal development and growth. The Texarkana College Child Development Program offers a variety of courses that encourage and promote teaching the WHOLE child, including the physical, cognitive, social, and emotional aspects.

Through course work and practical hands-on applications, students are provided the opportunity to gain a better understanding of Early Childhood Education History and current methodology.

The programs are designed to help prepare students for careers in daycare management and teaching as well as Head Start and Teacher’s Aid positions.
