Director of SACSCOC Reaffirmation

Description: The Director of SACSCOC Reaffirmation, as a part of the general administration of the College, is directly responsible to the Vice President of Instruction and will collaborate with the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness.  In fulfilling the duties of office, the Director shall act within the framework of College policy.
Qualifications: Work requires professional level of knowledge of a discipline which is acquired in a Master’s degree- level of study.  Seven years or more related experience.
Responsibilities:
  • Further the interest of the College and the College District.
  • Adhere to the goals and objectives of the institution and make recommendations to the Vice President of Instruction regarding plans, policies, and procedures in the area of delegated responsibility.
  • Assist the College’s Accreditation Liaison with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC), including the coordination of ongoing reporting, the QEP, and related site visits.
  • Ensure that accreditation requirements, including compliance with accrediting standards, are considered not only during the 10 year review process, but incorporated into ongoing institutional operations and procedures, and into the planning and evaluation process of the College.
  • Work with the Vice President of Instruction to develop notifications to the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges in advance of substantive changes and program development in accordance with SACSCOC standards.
  • Work closely and in collaboration with the Director of Institutional Research and Effectiveness.
  • Coordinate the dissemination of information about SACSCOC policies and procedures to the College community through the College Vice President of Instruction.
  • Coordinate preparation of any reports requested by SACSCOC and ensure electronic data collected is accurate.
  • Develop the timeline for completion of all tasks associated with the accreditation process.
  • Identify committees and provide direction to ensure completion of all tasks according to the timeline.
  • Manage the collection and analysis of information and answer questions regarding the accreditation process.
  • Provide updates regarding the accreditation process as needed or requested.
  • Coordinate with the Vice President of Instruction regarding accreditation events and activities.
  • Responsible for coordinating College programmatic accreditation matters: identify strategic issues that may impact accreditation and recommend direction for the organizational unit.
  • Coordinate with the Vice President of Instruction, Deans, Chairs and other staff on the accreditation participative process including selection and training of participants and evaluation of the processes involved.
  • Oversee the evaluation of the reliability and validity of the accreditation criteria and engage in benchmarking of accreditation processes and activities.
  • Promote the value of accreditation to faculty, staff, students, parents, and employers.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the Vice President of Instruction or provided for by College policy.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and within TC faculty salary scale.

Multi Craft Facilities Technician

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED. 5 years’ experience that is directly related to duties and responsibilities specified. Applicants must pass a pre-employment criminal background check.
Responsibilities: Perform multi-craft functions which will include plumbing, grounds, carpentry, flooring for carpets and tile, custodial, locksmith and painting. Maintains inventory of parts and supplies for facilities repairs and orders materials as needed. Monitors, maintains and performs standard repairs to building plumbing, heating, ventilation and cooling systems. Prepares and maintains records on all maintenance activities. Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies. Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety. Performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge of supplies, equipment and service ordering and inventory control. Ability to maintain quality control and complete routine paperwork. Records maintenance skills. Knowledge of facilities services including duties and responsibilities specified. Ability to read, understand, follow instructions and use tools applicable to trade. Enforce safety procedures and provide cooperative work environment.

Electronics/Instrumentation Instructor

Description: Under the supervision of the Dean of Workforce and Continuing Education, will plan, develop, and revise a program of instruction to teach classroom and laboratory courses in electronics/instrumentation technology. 
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronic Technology, or Technical Education (Master’s Degree preferred). Must have a minimum of three years (4000 hours) of industrial experience in applied electronics and automated systems.Teaching experience preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively through both oral and written means. Must have knowledge of assessment of student academic achievement techniques.Must be able to relate successfully with students and staff of diverse cultural, social and educational backgrounds. Ability to utilize multiple instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles of students. Responsibilities:  Teaching assignment includes motors & controls, programmable logic controllers, and automated systems.  It may also include fluid power/electro-mechanical applications and electronic communications.  Related duties include acquisition of supplies and equipment, upkeep of laboratory facilities, participation in division and department activities, performing annual program reviews, monitoring student learning outcomes reporting, maintaining job placement and graduate data, creating and monitoring program budgets, managing web content regarding program, participating in recruitment activities, and other duties as assigned.

Part Time English Success Coach
