Instructional Research Analyst

Description: Under the direction of the Vice President of Instruction, the Office of Instruction Research Analyst will perform extensive and technical research duties, including those related to state and federal requirements, reports and programs; gather data and prepare reports and documents for college deans to fulfill duties, regulations and requirements; and help to assure resources are prepared and accurate for instructional planning.
Qualifications: Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s degree and college      experience preferred.
Responsibilities:
  • Work with Excel, Access, SQL databases, or other database software.
  • Work with various statistical, survey software, as well as online reporting   systems.
  • Perform extensive and technical research and evaluation tasks.
  • Create and maintain necessary research documentation, files and records.
  •  Perform technical report writing to include narrative and statistical information.
  • Communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing, with correct English usage, spelling, grammar and punctuation.
  • Work as a team member with other college staff using modern office procedures and methods as well as tact, patience and courtesy.
  • Other duties as assigned

Culinary Arts Lab Assistant

Description:  Culinary Arts Lab Assistant
Qualifications:
  •  High School diploma
  • Excellent communication and human relation skills and the ability to challenge and motivate.
  • Must be well organized, fair and unbiased.
  • Must be capable of maintain an atmosphere that fosters learning.
  • Must possess a Texas drivers license.
  • Prefer a certificate of diploma in Culinary Arts Department with 3 years of work experience in the Culinary Arts field.
Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Lab Assistant for the Culimary Arts Department.
  • Develop, revise, maintain current inventory and keep track of all lab supplies, equipment, and materials.
  • Set up lab activities and help deliver an exceptional hands-on lab experience.
  • Maintain order and discipline: help to test and evaluate student progress in the lab.
  • Serve as a technical advisor for Culinary Arts students.
  • Actively participates in recruitment and placement.
  • Keep current in technical and professional knowledge and actively participates in the team management concept of the college.
  • Assist Instructors and department head in developing lab activities that help meet course objectives and improve overall student performance.

Lead Groundsman

Description: The Facilities Services Department of Texarkana College is seeking a Lead Groundsman. This is a full time benefits eligible position.
Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum 2 years verifiable work experience after high school. Experience in handling and use of lawn care equipment and tools. Must have the ability to be a self starter and work with minimal supervision. Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds unassisted and up to 100 pounds with assistance. All finalists may be subject to a background check and/or drug test.

Responsibilities:

Using job appropriate equipment and tools, maintain mowing and trimming of all public areas of the lawn and grounds, prunes trees and shrubs, trims trees and shrubs, removes debris, maintains smoking receptacles and assists in small and large scale event set-ups. Operates and conducts tasks in a safe and environmentally conscientious manner. Other duties may be assigned.

Salary: Commensurate with experience and within TC faculty salary scale.

Security Officer

Description: The Campus Police Department of Texarkana College is seeking Security Officer.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: High School Diploma or equivalent; training or experience as a security officer preferred.
Responsibilities: Under the direction of the Campus Police, typical duties and responsibilities include:  campus patrol  on foot or in a vehicle; lock or unlock buildings as requested; observe persons and conditions and provide assistance when necessary (information, directions, access to buildings, late night escort, jump starts, locked in keys, etc.); provide Campus Police with assistance and information as needed;  observe and report potentially hazardous physical conditions such as fallen limbs, damage to sidewalks, damage to streets, ,missing signage, etc.; maintain shift activity log; maintain confidentiality regarding persons and incidents; provide on-site security to special events.
