Electronics/Instrumentation Instructor

Description: Under the supervision of the Dean of Workforce and Continuing Education, will plan, develop, and revise a program of instruction to teach classroom and laboratory courses in electronics/instrumentation technology. 
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Must have a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Electronic Technology, or Technical Education (Master’s Degree preferred). Must have a minimum of three years (4000 hours) of industrial experience in applied electronics and automated systems.Teaching experience preferred. Must be able to communicate effectively through both oral and written means. Must have knowledge of assessment of student academic achievement techniques.Must be able to relate successfully with students and staff of diverse cultural, social and educational backgrounds. Ability to utilize multiple instructional strategies to accommodate different learning styles of students. Must embrace and demonstrate Standards of Teaching Excellence in development and delivery of instruction.Standards of Teaching Excellence

Experience with higher education student information management programs. The willingness and ability to develop and provide technology based instruction.
Responsibilities:  Teaching assignment includes motors & controls, programmable logic controllers, and automated systems.  It may also include fluid power/electro-mechanical applications and electronic communications.  Related duties include acquisition of supplies and equipment, upkeep of laboratory facilities, participation in division and department activities, performing annual program reviews, monitoring student learning outcomes reporting, maintaining job placement and graduate data, creating and monitoring program budgets, managing web content regarding program, participating in recruitment activities, and other duties as assigned.
Salary: Commensurate with experience and within TC faculty salary scale.

Part Time English Success Coach

Description: Tutor students in reading and writing skills  Assist students and faculty with the Writing Lab and online lab components.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree.  English major or minor
Responsibilities:
  • Enforce TC Writing Lab Policies
  • Attend training sessions and professional development
  • Create schedule for Writing Lab usage 
  •  Maintain record of attendance
  •  Work with students and faculty in the Writing Lab
  •  Train new faculty on Writing Lab components
