TC Campus E-mail at Home

There are many different software packages that will allow you to access your campus e-mail.  WE chose these particular software titles due to ease of use, cost (free) and familiarity.
In order to utilize any of these options off campus to retrieve mail at home, you must turn off your mail application (program) on your campus office computer in order to retrieve messages.  Most mail clients curently being used on campus computers (i.e., Micrsoft Outlook and Outlook Express, and Netscape Navigator will pull your messages from the TC mail servers and store them on your office machine.

The easy way to accomplish this is to turn off your TC machine when you are out of the office.

Option 1 Web Mail (easy!)
Click on this link and enter your username and password and view messages over the web.

Option 2  Microsoft Outlook Express v 5.0  (a bit more complex)
Powerful yet practical e-mail program. Ships with all Windows 98 software currently.

Option 3 Telnet and access e-mail with PINE
This allows the user to access their TC email anywhere on any computer! This uses an archaic DOS style screen interface (text only) but it is extremely versatile and accessible.

Don't have TelNet on your machine?  Download it for free from Microsoft here.
