BIOLOGY 1409.01 EXAM III REVIEW Summer II 2007
The following is a list of topics that will be addressed on EXAM III. Chapters 17,18 and 19 will be covered on the exam. The test will be composed two sections:
Section I: 60 multiple guess @1.17 pts/ea = 70 points total.
Section II:  short answer  = total of 30 points.

Section II – Short Answer: (30 points)
  • (5 pts) label functional lobes of brain
  • (5 pts) complete a table of drugs of abuse (nicotine, alcohol, cocaine, Meth, Marijauna) modes of action  area affected
  • (10 pts) Essay: Discuss how a muscle fiber (cell) contracts (get's shorter) be sure to include sarcomere, sliding filament theory, actin, myosin, tropomyosin, troponin, calcium ions, sarcolema, sarcoplasmic reticulum, t-tubules, ATP, and crossbridges.
  • (10 pts) label skeletal diagram figure 19.3  (10 bones)
