Education - Science Specialization

A Program for Prospective Elementary Middle School Science Teachers
Texarkana College & Texas A&M University-Texarkana

A science specialization for elementary education majors is now available. Future teachers of grades four through eight (4-8) may pursue a specialization in Integrated Science.
By sharing faculties and  facilities,
Texarkana College and Texas A&M University-Texarkana now provide four years (2+2) of science courses.

Texarkana College & Texas A&M University-Texarkana have a cooperative program through the TAMU-System called the Texarkana Teaching Scholars Program that assists outstanding students who want to teach in the high need areas of Science, Math and Special Education.

These courses will prepare you to teach science in the elementary and middle school. Principals in our region have indicated a strong need for teachers with science backgrounds, who can teach students to enjoy and use science. Our future is science.
